Default how do these look? oily? ****pics*****

just changed my spark plugs on my 09 gt.. 46,000 miles. the electrodes werent oily, but the threads sure were. something to be worried about? car doesnt smoke and doesnt seem to be using oil.. any insight?

also when i was using compressed air in the hole some gasket came out. is it just extra from when they assembled engine?

Looks normal to me. Those plugs would have been fine for twice that mileage for the typical DD.

I think Ford uses oil for assembly. As long as the porcelain isn't oily, then don't worry.

My GM car had a valvecover gasket leake which caused oil to do this.I'd start there.

How can I make sure it's definetly the valve cover gasket?

I think if it was a gasket, you'd have oil inside the plug well and on the porcelain but from your pics, I don't see evidence of that.

It's not the valve cover gasket. The gasket runs below the spark plug holes, so it would have to leak a lot and it would be obvious.
