Hey Guys,

My car overheated a while back. I replaced the cooling fan and the thermostat.

Now when i start the car the fan goes on, but when the car gets warm, the fan doesn't go on anymore.

Even if you turn on the a/c the fan refuses to go on.

It's a brand new ford racing coolingfan.

Does anybody know what the issue here could be?

An ecm problem maybe?

 

Have you checked the fan settings on your SCT? Perhaps the temperature settings were inadvertently changed or that portion of the program became corrupt. Otherwise, I'd suspect that "brand new ford racing cooling", whatever that is comprised of.

 

I've checked about everything. replaced my thermostat, cooling fan etc.
my last resort is to change the cooling fan switch.

does anyone know where i can purchase this online? i've not been able to find it for my year gt.

 

If you can buy it, then tousleyfordparts.com probably has it. Rockauto.com is also a good source for weird parts.

 

Wonder if you have a short in the harness leading to the fan.
