Getting Hot

Getting Hot
Ok so I installed some under drive pulleys last week. Ive drove the car a couple of times in between and haven't had any problems. Was driving today and noticed that the coolant light came on and the temp was almost at the red. I pulled over popped the hood and let it cool down. When I got home it I checked the codes to see if it messed anything up and got a p0345 which is cam shaft position sensor. Is this common? I know it was going to run a little warmer just didn't expect it to get insanely hot. Is there ways to fix this like a different thermostat? Thanks

Ok figured it out. Well the heating portion. The fan some how was not plugged in all the way it must not have clicked when I put it on after doing the pulleys. But would the car getting hot or running udp make it show a cam shaft sensor?

Many times the can shaft sensor will trip when there are alternator issues. It may be that the alternator was borderline failing and the underdrive pulley pushed it over the threshold... I'd just watch for any weird issues and procrastinate for now.

Someone else had that code because of udp's.
