Two step launch controller worth it?

Hey Guys,
A lot of cars at my track use a two step launch controller.
I don't seem to find many MF'ers that use this. Is there a reason why?
I have a TCI 3500 stall converter, and occassionally run nitrous, how easy is this to set up along with these modifications?
The nitrous kicks in above 3000rpm at WOT i believe, won't the two step interfere with this process?
Whats your opinion on this?
The reason why i'm considering this is because, i'm still figuring out if the best method is for me to launch, foot brake it (also at what RPM) or to flash the converter, i've tried multiple times but get similar results. The main issue i have is that when i touch the second beam, i want to try and get it at a certain rpm, 2500 for instance, but if i can't find the correct rpm right away (go too high or too low, and try to find the right spot), i usually mess up my launch because the tree triggers instantly after you touch the second beam.

I use a Raptor dual stage shift light. I set the launch light at 1500 rpms...the light comes on and I'm ready to launch. No guessing what rpm your at.
I am assumimg your racing with a full tree right? There is plenty of time to get your rpms up with a full tree even if the starter clicks the light when you hit the full stage beams. Now with a Pro tree what I race with, there is no way. That b#tch comes on fast....you have no time to think...its just BOOM and go.
Look into the raptor light, it may be a good fit for you. They install really easy too.

I use the launch master. It helps take out one of things I have to think about at the line. Brackets racers and people who race a lot strive to make the staging and launching process streamlined and easy.. The more you have to think about at the line, the more you screw up.
I'm not sure how the launch master and the nitrous unit would interact, but I would probably set your RPM lower than your nitrous. I love mine.
Install wasn't bad.

It works the same as a manual. The difference is instead of putting it on the clutch, you put it on the brake. A LOT!! of the bracket racers do this. they fashion a switch to their brake pedal and wire both a 2 step and line lock to it. You can do either. They will usually have line lock wired for the front on a toggle, a then sometimes a switch on the pedal with line locks on the front and rear, along with a 2 step. The guys without T brakes do this even though it isn't a T-brake, it helps cut a consistent light.
