Hello

Last year I posted about an engine tick. the consensus from Roush was it was a noisy injector. I've attached a video so you can hear the noise for yourself.

This is a Roushcharged 4.6L. Well, since last year the tick has gotten louder. So I decided to have a garage inspect. They feel its not the injector as originally thought, but a valve lash adjuster on the passenger side.

my engine knowledge is on carburated chevy's, not overhead cam supercharged fords.

The garage quoted me $499 to do tear down, inspection and replace lash adjuster, but they cannot guarantee that a valve lash adjuster is the cause till they pop off the valve cover.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it a common issue? Google doesn't seem to say its common.

Is this something I could do myself?
