Default Snapped CAM

2006 Roush Stage 3 - Had stock cams put back in, was not happy with the performance cams I had put in. After 2300 miles the cam on the driver side snapped in two causing all the associated damage you would expect. Took off the valve cover and found hold-down blocks 1 and 3 were switched and the arrows were facing the wrong way. Spoke with the guys who put the cams in, they said the blocks cannot be installed in the wrong place and facing the wrong way because they are dowled, and that I probably had an oil pressure problem. Does anyone have any experience with such a crazy thing.

the caps are doweled, but they have dowels on each bolt and can be installed backwards, sounds like they fvcked up, and now they dont want to make it right, tell them you are getting a lawyer and they can either fix it, or get sued. i have seen these motors with oil pressure concerns, but what happens is they make noise, LOTS of noise, and chew up the cam journals, but never a broken cam.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feed back. This could get expensive, the head has some damage and there is a small amount of metal filings around. Don't yet know if there is any damage to valves or pistons.
