Caliper bolt won’t tighten

Caliper bolt won’t tighten
So I put EBC rotors and yellow stuff pads on my 07 Mustang, right one goes on easy peasy. Driver side all goes well right up to the end, where the upper bolt that holds the caliper to the housing will not tighten. It tightens to a certain point, but that’s it. I put blue lock tite on it as a precaution, but anyone have any ideas? The way it’s tightened it isn’t going anywhere, and I figure the lock tite is added insurance (I used blue) Just wanted to get some input on this.

If you are talking about the slide pin bolt, don't fret, you can buy slide pins at any
local parts store, and they come with new bolts. I never use lock-tite on any of the
slide pin bolts. Just go to AutoZone or Advance Auto for another set of slide pins,
with bolts; around $11 for a set, do both sides then.

it does come out thank god....lol
even tightens to a point, but then almost feels like it's loosening when you tighten it past a point.......then it tightens again, but never past a certain point. Probably like 20 pounds but I just want to change it just to not worry about it.

I wouldn't trust it. They are your brakes...not a valve cover or trim piece.

tighten the bolt, the slide pin will turn inside the boot, with the bolt
if you don't hold it with something.
If you look, there is a raised edge, a spot where you grip the slide pin
as you tighten it, so it does not spin with the bolt.
