2006 mustang GT. Idles but dies when throttle is touched
I'm really scratching my head here. I put the car back together with new cams. Verified the timing. The car seems to idle pretty well, but the throttle is like a kill switch. The car sat for a year or two. I added new fuel, a can of seafoam, and a new fuel filter last year while it was under construction. I'm not sure where to start or how to test. No codes, pretty sure all grounds are good.
I took the air intake off to verify that the throttle body was opening and closing. I also cleaned it.
I'm wondering if it could be the throttle body or fuel pump, but would it idle fine and die with throttle if that were the case?
Edit: I just installed a new throttle position sensor. Car started up, hunted a little between 800 and 2000, still dies if throttle is touched.
Codes: P0135/ P0155 for 02 sensors
P1000

Where did you get the tune for the cams from? Does it have any trouble starting? And did you data log at all? Mine behaved similarly after I put Ford Performance Hot Rod cams in it and it was a tune issue. Also, having the upstream O2 sensors unplugged can make the computer upset sometimes.

Thanks for the response. Work took me out for a while but I'm back at this project.
The cams are Detroit rockers from the manufacturer. The tune is a bama tune.. I'll admit,, I did look under the car and believe the upstream and downstream O2s looked switched. Right now I would like to data log and contact bama. I'm hoping this is not a timing issue of some sort.
