I'm getting code P0463 on a 2005 mustang V8 what does it mean

1. Repairing or replacing the fuel tank.
2. Repairing or replacing the fuel level sensor float.
3. Repairing or replacing the fuel level sensor.
4. Replacing the wiring harness for the fuel level sensor.
5. Tightening a loose connection in the fuel level sensor circuit.

check through all these symptoms one at a time. The P0463 code is triggered when your vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM) detects inaccurate fuel level readings from the fuel level sensor. The fuel level sensor alerts the PCM of the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. Also you may want to try and make up a temporary ground with a piece of wire and two alligator clips to attach to a clean part on the tank to any frame part to see if the ground is lost.
