ok friend wants to buy an evo

but does anybody kno if they come with forged aluminum pistons and stuff ready to put a turbo on or do u need to do all that stuff urself

 

I think you need to buy all that stuff unless it wsa a turbo'ed EVO version

 

My neighbor works a mitsubishi dealership and has a evo and the when he turbo'd it, he didnt need to rebuild it with forged (I think they came with forged internals already) I can ask him tomorrow cause he would know that

If it's an EVO it is already turbocharged. I guess this kid has a Lancer and wants to make it faster?

 

if its an EVO its already a 4G63 turbo. if i remember right the lancer doesnt even have the 4G63 motor in it. i would'nt recommend just bolting a turbo onto that motor without building it. unless he wants to run LOW boost. which in that case (in my opinion), it would be a waste of time and money if your not going to boost it up and get some real HP.

 

He says the EVO's already have aturbo and forged internals.

He swapped his stock turbo out for a whole new kit cause the old turbo sucked.
