okay this was in my jeep but mabey someone here knows why. OKAY coming home from work and i stopped and filled it full of fuel. (about 3 miles of driving) came out of the place and there was a puddle of coolant coming out from under the jeep. opened the hood, didn't see where it was coming from but the radiator was full (it exploded out when i opened the cap tho[8D]) the overflow bottle was just about empty.

so i drove home (about 15 miles) and got out, and i opened the cap but it was still full., but it was not leaking but it was not steaming from where it spilled out.

so i'm thinking mabey a pin hole in it somewhere???

does anyone have any luck with that "stop leak" additive for radiators?

 

Start the truck, and rev it, look for water puddling or coming out of an area. If you see nothing than think its hitting something else...

 

i did but it wasn't leaking anything... and none of my hoses have cracks[&:] my radiator fins are kinda dry rotted though.

 

What part of the engine is leak coming from (front, side, back?)

 

front, and i saw it dripping on the ac condenser

 

Then I'm going towards a bad rasiator to or a bad radiator hose

 

does that additve help any, cause i don't have 150 dollars for a new radiator.

 

I hear it works. Seen a person a few years back throw some in his car and it was PISSING!!!!! coolant. It seemed to work for him.... But remember, temp only fix!!!!!!

 

Those plastic end radiators on Jeep are not great. Had water pump on mine leak. Plull small rubber hose off radiator and broke radiator so new radiator. The one I got from auto parts is all metal. Second make sure electric fan runs. I assume yours has one. Mine comes on when hot and with ac. Mine has tendecy to blow fuse. Has for last 5 to 8 years. May do it twice a week or go for months. Just keep box of fuses in glove box.

 

no, i have a manual fan and the radiator is aluminum and copper (no plastic) this is a 1991 cherokee 2.5L
