Default Well....

my dads being a ***** about me getting a new car. i think it's funny though b/c i'm an adult and technically he can't do anything about it. anyways as a backup i want to know any other engine swaps besides the turbo 2.3 that would swap in easily. would one of the ranger engines swap in easily?

a 2.3 out of a ranger should swap right in but for the minimal performance gains it is not really worth the trouble.

You do know that the engine your talking about is rare in stangs

Just buy a damn 3.8 and have fun with headgaskets

The early ones did, not sure if the later ones had the issue fixed or not

nope the later ones were good, even the earlier engine with the gaskets replaced with the newer style will be fine

it'd be awesome to get a 99 or later one with 190 hp, but thats not gonna happen. i'll look into it. i don't even know if i'll be able to pull this off either though.

it wont be worth it but you'll never do it so it doesn't matter. if your dad doesn't want you getting a new car what makes you think he'll want you tearing the one you have now apart?
