Default Tuning my 2.3t

last saturday i got my permit, 100%, lol came outside and my dad threw me the keys to the 5.0 and was like lets go. It was the time of my life!!!. I actually find it easier to drive than my moms fusion. btw. lol, first time i was on the road i was getting tailgated in the stang by some guy in an expedition and then later on by a dude in jacked up ram 2500. It was kinda nerve racking but I've been like walking on air ever since. anyways, i got my exhaust on my truck done, 3 inch cat to cherry bomb then to 3.5 inch stainless tip exiting before the right rear wheel. i hooked the wastegate up and set it to about 6 pounds of boost since im still on the stock tune, i blasted down the street and was so psyched when i heard the turbo spool, it was impossible to wipe the smile off my face. and the truck is supposed to go to the tuner on wednesday, the place is in the middle of moving across the street, so thats kinda up in the air, but thats plan.i gotta get a job...lol

lol yeah, i threw it down the street again today and it nailed 10lbs, which kinda freaked me out cuz the truck just lurched forward and started booking. but the injectors overload it when it comes down off the rpm's and it tries to die, so thats one of the things im gonna have my tuner fix

It's got the stock 94 ranger computer, a BAB1. I'm running it this way so that it was already programmed and had the tables for the maf right in it and all the guy has to do is change the numbers around. I also took the pinouts for the DIS system and converted it over to the original distributor and tfi setup that came with the turbo motor, so that I could easily set my base timing. This works because the first gen DIS ran off the exact same signals as the tfi system so that as long as you get the pinouts right you can run the tfi off the dis computer, or the dis off the tfi computer. Exactly like what some of the guys are doing with volvo head swaps so that they don't have to use the distributor. Anyways, It's got a bypass valve because I'm using a maf and they don't boad well with bovs, and the truck got dropped off tonight so if everythign goes according to plan I should have it on the dyno either friday or saturday. I'm gonna be lookin for about 18-20lbs. we'll see how it goes.

The stock 2.3 N/A computer tells alot as to why its running way rich. Stock computer/MAF = #14 injectors High Impediance, stock 2.3 turbo injectors.... #35 injectors LOW IMPEDIANCE!!!!! change your computer ASAP before you **** the injectors up or blow your injector pump in your computer

dude, cmon gimme some credit. I got a maf in the truck and HIGH IMPEDANCE 46lbs injectors. I heard form the guys tonite cuz they went over thr truck and gave me a run down of what they wanted before they tuned it. So, theyre putting in colder plugs and they said the ****ty *** dunlops i got on there will blow apart on the dyno so im gonna bring down my BFGs. They also said that my driveshaft was lookin a little beat but that it prolly won't be an issue when its tuned, but just to replace it when its done. So when its done im gonna put the 8.8 with prolly 3.08s in it in, a new driveshaft, driveshaft loop, and explorere rear disc brakes. im goin dwon there tomorrow and we'll see what happens

Ight, i went down there today and as i was standing among the score of hi-po corvettes and blown 383 street rods, my little truck looked so subtle. But i brought down the rims and threw them on in the bay, but then i had to take out my driveshaft and theyre sending it out to get rebuilt which will hopefully get done by the middle of the week. The guy has already made a baseline tune for my truck and setup a couple of other things to get my truck goin. I helped him move into his new shoptoday and he's gonna let me helpwork off my bill, im trying to get an afterschool/summer job outta him which would rock.
