Default Stereo issues.

I was testing a light to find the Ign wire in my dash for my deck...then I found it ...then I tried the light again...and it didnt work...but I know for sure that, that is the wire I needed to use. did I blow a fuse or something? I had music playing so I couldn't hear an audible fuse pop or anything. I hooked up the deck to them wires anyways ..Is there such thing as an ign fuse? I checked the one under the hook...that wasn't it. .. I figured it'd be under the dash but I don't have any diagrams or nothing and the ppl at contour.org haven't approved me yet just thought I would throw it out there..

um... just check the fuse[8D] it will be either the "audio/radio" fuse or the "accessory" fuse. check your manual. on a contour, i think its fuse 23, but don't completly take my word for it.

lmao well if I knew where the fuse box was :P...theres one under the hood ..the power distribution box with an *** load of fuses...but I figure its under the dash...I have a temp fix and my deck works now so I'm not caring too much

The fuse just control the int. lights and clock.

I so dont even have a parking brake pedal...Its a lever
but you are most likely right. I'll guess I'll go buy some random fuses thenchecker out when I get home. Its always good to have an *** load of fuses...Im going to pick up some heavier wire too for my amp...you say 4 Gauge works? I'll buy something close to that. Its funny that the clock and Int lights would be on the same fuse...because its in with my dimmer switch too but that still works just fine.

theres no way you have a 7.5 amp fuse for the radio? it should have a 20 amp minimum! thats why it blew
