Default sniff-sniff...

my transmission in the shadow is on its way out. Its slippin a bit and keeps getting worse and worse. It only slips from a dig tho. And I can smell a campfire smell (thats when you know your tranny is burnin up) soooo that sucks. Im debating on just getting another tranny from a junkyard or having this one rebuilt. And from what ive heard the trans in these cars burn up alot, so once I get another one im gonna baby the hell out of it. Im sick and tired of my cars breaking on me because of the way i drive them. It seriously pisses me off that I cant just drive the car normally. As sad as it sounds but its hard. My parents are bitching at me because I cant budget my money, I owe the bank $250 (overdraft fee's from going $3 over), I dont have any gas money, I dont get paid till next week.... all because I ****ing spend my whole check in 3days. **** my life, im a failure. I wont be able to live on my own if I cant manage my money. Just think, in 6 months I will be on my own.

Im a good kid, I dont do drugs, I dont drink (often), I am going to school, I have a job, I have a car, but somehow i am ****ing failing in life, it feels like im not getting anywhere. My life consists of, waking up at 1pm, get ready for work and work from 3-11, come home watch TV and do school work (GED), fall asleep, wake up go to work.

**** my life

Oh suck it up. You've made bad choices, woopteedo. I go to school 8 hr's a day, work 8 hrs a day, come home, sleep, repeat.

Here's what you do, you have to budget money for life, car, savings, and fun.

I spend $100 - $200 on my car per paycheck, the rest goes into my savings.

I've got $400 since I started saving last week, untouched in case of bad event's.

If nothing is wrong with your car, don't spend money on it.

I beat the **** out of my MX6, and the mustang. If either of them break, I have more than enough money to have them repaired, but then again I have 2 cars... you have one... (well 2 with the truck) either sell one of them to get the other one fixed, auto transmissions aren't cheap to get rebuilt...

Go easy on your cars, I don't, but I know when and how to fix most of the issues on both cars and I have the tools/cash.

Keep your head up, and get some extra timing working so you can cover what the transmission will cost.

Can you get a manual for it? I would do that if you don't mind them. An auto rebuild will cost you a minimum $1300(and if it's like the A4LD, will crap on you in a year). I know how you feel though, when your cars repeatedly break down you just want to f*** it all.
Figure out how much you spend for gas/food(and anything else you have to pay) and put the rest of it in the bank. I know it's hard to do that, I was spending like $100 a week just in clothing, not to mention $80 a week just for breakfast(I'm out of house to early for breakfast at home so fast food it is!). I can't spend that much in clothing and such now because I have to pay for my Cav, insurance, and save as much as I can for college. I keep $1-2K in a savings account at all times in case something happens and I don't have the cash in my checking accounts, and that has helped me more than once so far. I would strongly suggest to anybody to work up $1k and put it in a savings account and forget until you desperately need it.
Heck I'm getting frustrated because I don't know how I'm going to pay for college, car insurance, gas, food, car payment, and possibly rent, when I go to college in the Spring. I'm seriously thinking about paying the cavalier off in 6 months(I owe $6500) and to heck with trying to build my credit.

Life will seem like it's not going anywhere until you are out or almost out of whatever higher education courses you take. Or a job that you can see yourself advancing in.

Why will you be on your own in 6 months?

Some sometimes you just have to vent to see you through and to help you reason it out...

Wtf, thats way to much for a rebuild. I could do a full turbo/5spd swap for less then that in the car. I wonder how much one will cost in a junkyard. And yeah im glad I still have the truck and havent sold it yet, or I would be ****ed. Thats one thing I love about the truck is its fix or repair daily but it isnt to hard to fix. I can fix it on the road and keep going. The trans in my car is slippin BAD! I can hardly make it up the hills to get home, on top of that its out of gas, I coasted it home a block away. God damn im sooo stupid half of the time. I go out and drive the car non-stop and waste all my gas from just free driving and dont even think about "oh I shouldnt waste this gas so I can get to work". So till next wednesday i am riding my ****ing bike. I know, its sad, but thats how it is. downhill all the way to work, and up hill all the way home at 12am.

this paycheck, I need to get my bank **** squared away and put some money in it, throw it in savings and get rid of my debit. That way i have emergency money/money to save up. Ive read in turbo dodge that the transmissions burn up about every year, that doesnt even seem worth it? So why not just do a 5spd swap and just replace a $100 clutch every 2yrs? So my check should be around $450 this month, I need to plan out on budgeting it now. Hopfully the bank will wave the overdraft fee's if I go in there with tears in my eyes he he he.

Alright, im keeping $180 aside for gas, then $200 will be put away, then I can have around $50-$70 for cigs, food, and misc.

And I will be on my own in 6months because thats when im 18 and I dont want to live at home anymore then I have to.

Thanks guys, sometimes it takes talking to people to help me get my **** straight.

Anyways, keep your head up, things always look brighter after the darkness...

I work 5 days a week. 8.07 an hour (min wage). I work about 30hrs a week at a minimum, sometimes I work over 40hrs and get over time. I get paid every other wednesday.

And I get taxes outta my checks too. I know, I should be exempt but im not. Last check should have been a good $700 but i got about $160 from taxes takin out. But yeah my average checks are like 60-70hrs

And hey matt, my mommy and daddy dont pay for my **** like you, I have to work for it, not sit in a laundrymat all day and give out quarters and watch nascar all day like you, I am in the back of a hot *** kitchen workin the whole kitchen by myself, its not to fun.

And hey wanna know something ****ed up? Today was 104degrees out, thats HOT around here. We average like 70 degree's in the summer here, I wake up at 2, "oh ****, i gotta go to work" walk outside... holy **** it was a heatwave!! So I rode my bike all the way to work, a long *** ride, takes about 20mins from going down hill to riding thru town. I didnt drink anything before leaving, didnt eat, didnt do ****, just brushed my teeth thru on my uniform and out the door, so i roll into work, saying "oh yeah i made it!!" all the sudden i became weak as hell and fell to the ground, I felt like i was gonna throw up, I couldnt see straight, and my head was literally spinning! I think I was having like a heat stroke, and I literally walked into work and put my head under the soda machine and started drinking dr pepper, lol, look over to the left, and my manager was looking right at me going "wtf are you doing"... lol. But hey i made it to work on time!

It supposed to be hotter tomorrow :?

Thanks for talkin to me sleeper, your a good kid.

Since when has the A413 been such a crappy transmission? I had one, and beat the living hell out of it. My buddy had two different cars with it, and never once had a problem.

Hey that is a lot for a rebuild but that's the way it is for auto trannies. There might be somebody around you that will do it cheaper though.

Don't count on the bank waving anything other than a bill at you.
Stick with the budget you laid out and you'll be set.
Keep your head up....
