Have a 93 Ford Mustang 4 cylinder 2.3. Washed the motor down for a car show the other week and went to start it a few hours later and it wouldnt start. Didnt hear the fuel pump kick on so put a diff fuel pump on and stilll nothing...check the saftey switch and its fine, checked the fuel pump relay and its good. Any suggestions?????

there is a little black box on the passenger side of the engine bay that is you multifunction relay. it controls your pump a/c and a few other things as well you may have gotten water inside of it and shorted something out.

That checks out fine Mike. I have no spark though and no fuel coming in. We forced some fuel in to try and get it to start, but got nothing. Maybe the computers fried.....any thoughts?

check you fusible links and your connections at your pcm. the pump should come on as soon as you turn on the key. then shut off after a few seconds. aso make sure you didn't get any water into the ignition control module.

check your connector for your crank sensor. the 90 pcm may not fit due to the connections are all wrong. atleast according to my haynes manual. i'm running out of ideas at the moment. but will try to think of anything else. i will check back on your progress later tonight as i have to get ready for work.

My computer is fine now. Next step we unplugged the relays and it fired off, but then shut off right after. Checking fuse box linkages....suspecting wiring is junk somewhere
