thanks for your help *******
trust me. ive toyed around with mine, and ive spent hours at junkyards ripping them apart. your best bet is to just leave it the way it is. just about anything you can purchase online is either illegal or harmful to the engine, and all the other stuff is too expensive and way too time consuming for the very little power it adds.

now some of those expensive mods, they will be beneficial in the long run if you have a turbocoupe motor, but since the 2.3 n/a is obviously under no boost, there is no need to do any of that stuff.

but if you would rather not listen to me and waste your money, here's some stuff you can do that will probably add no power whats so ever.

late model ranger header
homemade cai (very illegal, will not pass emissions/smog)
mandrel (sp?) bent exhaust with high flow muffler
cam (if you have a pre 90 fox, the cam can be swapped from a 90-93 to get a bit more agression)
pullies (there's been some claims that a company makes them, but ive never seen them for the 2.3L)

now, lets recap. if you do all that stuff, you may get 4-5hp max, and will have spent easily close to or over $500 on all that stuff.
