i just bought a 87 mustang 2.3l and i have a 94 crown victoria w/ 4.6l p.i. i was wondering how hard it would it be to put the 4.6 in the mustang if i convert it carburated?
You need a butt load of new suspension to start withthen custom drive shaft made, different rear-end. More than likely new radiator to help cool that beast, new hood(or cut stock one until you have money), fuel lines, wiring harness, diff tranny.....other people will chime in to what I missed.
If you get it running that thing is going to SCREAM!!!! Good Luck.
Do internet search "mustang 4.6" and other word combinations. You are looking at wiring problems, front end upgrade and modification. a lot of work good luck. Macadoo is giving good advice. Have seen it done in a 67 mustang at NMRA. Nice mint looking. good luck
You will need a differnt k member and what I have heard the 4.6L weights just as much as a 460 I not now if that is true but that is what I have been told by people with those car
