ratchet shifter?

2. because yeah it does feel better..lmao but if there was a way I could get a cool shift **** on the stock shifter I'd do it haha!
But I think i might just have to find a shifter for A4LD ...would one for an AOD or AODE work?

lmao yeah I think I get the point but I wouldnt change trannies just so I could have a ratchet...There's gotta be a way to make it work with an A4LD
k well I just did my own research ..and what you said may have been true but..really an A4LD is just a C3 with an OD gear put on...so wouldn't the shifter be the same...I would think so

Isnt there a button that enables OD? Idk how your **** works but I wouldn still try.... I need to find a ratchet shifter.... not a very expensive one either!! And I plan on taking my center coluum out anyway so it will be perfect

And I manual shift my auto everywhere.... Highway runs especially!! i get redline it pop it into the next gear and when 2nd gear is redlined pop into D and its ready to shift to 3rd
and i also sometimes downshift around corners to keep rpm's up so I can slam the pedal to the floor 50% into the turn

I don't know for sure. One thing I tell you is the gate {notchs in shifter at the handle] are differant between a mustang 4 speed auto and c-4. I had to find a old mustang about Hellion-79 year that had a 3 speed. It has the correct notchs. I used the part that mounts to the floor from that car. And my original shifter modified so inside of console looks correct. So I doubt the shifter are the same. It want it start looking for proper one my best suggestion. I done a quick search two performance parts site. No a4ld listed.
