tbird do some research online you well find the stock rods are forged. in both mustang and the Tbird. replacement part number's which you can get for like 30 dollars a rod at your local parts store say they are forged. the only reason i didn't get them cause A. my pistons were custom from summit and used a different size pin and i couldn't use stock rods. and B. i wanted a higher performanc rod.

but belive what you want....everyone tries to say things, but dont do the research.
Pull some sources other than "auto part stores". Ive gone to part stores many times and got wrong parts. As for research, ive been into thunderbirds since 2000. I think ive done plenty of research. Before you try to "belittle" me, you might want to do your research.

A good friend of mine works in an engine shop, they have a turbo 2.3L apart, theyre building a 2.5L stroker and using an esslinger head. Explain to me how they have 4 cast rods sitting on the workbench from the original engine. Maybe you should research that.
