Tbird is on target. flow is very very important. if you want to make horse power on higher boost numbers you are better off maximizing your current flow potential such as intake and exhaust mods. once thats done if you deside to tinker with you boost then you would notice a significant difference in power increase's as compared to if you simply had messed with boost and nothing else with the same boost numbers in ether case. as far as project bolt on *im assuming thats what sleeper was talkign about* they resently had there head ported and due to the increased flow have gained significant inrease's in power.

 

As long as u take care of the turbo they will outlast most motors

 

i've decided to go away from it. i'm down to two choices right now for something reliable and cheap.

 

2.3 N/A mustang. Fits the bill quiet nicly there

 

something that has more than 90 hp. but sadly they aren't mustangs. but one day in life after i graduate from college and get w/e field decided i will get one. hopefully a 60's one for weekend driving, or maybe a 5.0 but it just depends on how much they go for in like 7-8 years.

 

I have a 69 mustang in a field near me. I'm just waiting for some money to fall into my pocket and I'll go offar the guy some $$

 

Im sorry man, you are getting spoon fed all your info. Buying a stock 2.3T TBird is one thing, but wanting to raise boost levels and mod it.... you are not ready for. Look around for threads of build ups and look at the trouble these people are going through. I am not completely sure I am ready for a turbo swap yet. But while I wait to save money, i research stuff and figure out the whole process.

Look man im not saying you cant.... I am just saying you will have lots of problems torun intoand you have to know how to get through them. But if you have money for a shop to do this...... I say go for it!

 

no i don't have money for the shop so its best for me to avoid them. my dad could prob help but wouldn't want to mess with one to begin with. i really wouldn't have time to work on one anyways. i prob could learn how to maintain one but it takes time that of which i don't have. but for all the info from everyone thanks b/ with out it i would get my self stuck in a corner with no way out.
