I need to vent
[:@][:@][:@][:@] F***!! This stupid Timing belt tensioner spring is pissing me off...It won't go under neat the dowel so it will tension the belt...that is all I have to do..other than put the Drive belts back on but thats easy!
and sleeper earlier..What I meant to say was I needed to move the cylinders up a bit more so they were flat with the deck of the block .im not sure if I said that..cuz everything was moving just not in time hence the backfiring and sputtering. sure they give you oil...you were right but it also helps me connect valve to cylinder. cuz right now when I turn over there is a gap...in between the cylinder and valve.
I have high hopes after I get this spring on...I couldnt think of anything else that I could do...oh and FYI that pulley I talking about isn't the Aux pulley..that is farther right...underneath your alternator...this one I duno what it does..but it just spins freely anyway..no where to time or anything..but the Crankshaft one moves the cylinders Im guessing. Therefore fixing my problem perhaps..I have no clue..I gotta rest then get back out there I suppose :\
I'm using Vise Grips to try and pull the spring under the dowel..but they aren't working very well, they keep slipping off and its the tightest I can put them, Work gloves would help me out tonnes...but with my limited supply of tools I should be thankful I could get this far. ...well there's my rant.

See if can borrow the correct tool from auto parts. I have used a pry bar. You could take a cheap deep well socket cut a nortch in it. Notch where spring is. Then use a strongarm to move it. We all need to vent. Just think of money saved and what you are learning.

When I removed my I never took the tensioner off, I just pried the spring back while I slipped the belt off, and the same when I put the new belt on.
