Default Intercooler

I am finnalyy setting up my project "Grim Sleeper" with a front mount intercooler. I have a '84 GT Turbo Convertable and was wondering if people can send me pics of there setups. I am tryign to figure out wich route I will choose. I think i will be leaving the intake in its original position and addign a BPV....So far I am goign with a homemade setup simular to the stinger design....anyoen else with good setups???

PS: bar and plate or tube and fin for the FMIC??

Sadly I don't have any pics during the install, but you kinda get the idea anyways.

does anyone have any objections to the stinger setup that runs from one side to the other? If i used a one sidded IC, it seems like i might run into probelms when i install my BPV

1) Piping question, Mild Steel or Aluminized Steel
2) IC question, bar and plate or tube and fin
1) It doesn't matter IMO, I plan on using PVC till I buy a bender
2) Everyone says bar and plate is best or tube and fin. To be honest, I've not seen a flow difference between 2 good ones

I plan on running a turbo coupe intercooler (Switch it to run up front). not the best but I only paid $30

That is the mounted tank that will contain methanol when I start running big boost #'s with the Holset. I had it plumbed up with a test fit on a TC IC and then switched to the FMIC and didn't want to put a hole in the piping until I was sure where I wanted it, so I just flopped it off to the side. Alkycontrol is the brand, originally developed for the Turbo Buicks.

Neither mild steel or aluminized steel will make a difference if you plan on painting the piping.

Personally, I'd recommend a large bar and plate IC. Tube and fin generally cools better, while bar and plate generally flows better. You'd probably never notice the difference on a street car either way.

TRBOPWR, throw that felpro valve cover gasket in the trash. I hate thos things.

Any particular reason why? It was on the car when I bought it andI haven't had any leaking problems from it...

I never had luck with one. I spent the 35 bucks, got the Ford one, and havnt had a problem since. I've also had the valve cover off about 12 times (not exaggerating) with no leaks.
