black smoke?
So i guess whenever in flooring it and am at higher rpm there is visable black smoke coming out the back... my friend told me this and i made him switch cars so i could see this... only at 4,000 rom and above it shows visable black smoke... any ideas? The mechanic at my works says it may be the cam timing... so i tried to do the cam timing and there is no mark to line it up to on the cam side... wtf? any idea's?
if its rich. then you only have so many things that could be wrong.
1. maf
2. O2
3. injector is not closing completly at high rpms possibly
also... pull your spark plugs and check them. checking them are as good as pulling codes sometimes

did seafoam the other day in the walmart parking lot...lolback when i checked the codes there was somthing about the maf and o2i think... like a 186 and the 172... is it worth replacing that ****? spark plug are about 3 weeks old...
Pull the MAF sensor out of the airbox, and spray it down with carb cleaner. Near the sensor wires, and on them, there will likely be a bunch of crap and build up. Take a small screwdriver or pick and CAREFULLY clean it off.
O2 might just be best to replace.
If you can't find your cam timing mark, then you need to go around on the crankshaft one more time.

They use it, but if it fails because it was cleaned like that, don't think the place you bought it from would give you another one. They will say it was your fault and NEvER give you a refund or even another one.
Stay with the stuff that works. I've used it all to clean my parts, and by far the best I've used is the cleaner made for doing it... but hey, who knows.
