Cool

It's a custom application so pretty much any radiator will work as long as the total width is kept inside the NPR inlet and outlet tubes. A Ranger rad will work. Your stock Mustang rad may work also. Break out the tape measure! You're gonna have to figure out some brackets but all you'll need to make them is a hacksaw, drill, vise and big hammer! I've included some pics of my install. '89 Mustang w/big NPR, rad out of an '89 Volvo and '90 SuperCoupe fan.

Pic #1 is the way I initially mounted the setup. I didn't like it so I remounted it later. The initial mounting places the whole setup inside the core support in the engine compartment, much like the writeup above. I however, don't run A/C so I decided to remount the setup back a couple of inches.

Here's some of the mounts I fabbed initially (yuck!)

I eventually moved it back where the NPR actually sits inside the cradle of the core support and the bottom extends outside a bit. Consequently, the NPR rests at a very slight angle. Doesn't interfere with performance or looks one bit. And, it looks like an A/C condenser may fit between the NPR and the big bumper bracket also.

Here's a view from the other side. Note the mounting brackets (green arrows). All made from bar stock. A couple had to be bent 90*, that's where the vise and big hammer come in. No welding, all bolt in! All in all, a pretty easy install. Look everything over real good, get an idea in your head, take some measurements and go for it!

Cool

The second one has funky outlets. Will either of those even fit? I saw 18" for the core. Add a couple of inches on each side for the tanks. The distance between the NPR outlets is 23". If it doesn't fit, you're gonna have to send it back.........shipping costs. You're gonna have to modify it and fab mounts too.

As stated before, go to the 'yard and find one that'll fit with the proper outlets, sizing, etc. You can always take it to a rad shop and have it tanked. A lot of times junkyard cars have new parts on them. My Volvo rad came with an overflow tank, hose, brackets and all nuts and bolts. It looked brand new and the inside was squeaky clean. It was obviously a factory replacement that was maybe a month old - $20.

Have you measured your Mustang rad? I know the Volvo fits nicely although it's a closed system. You have to mount the overflow/fill tank above the rad coolant level. A tape measure is your friend.
