Convertible top problem
I have a 90 GT convertible. The drivers side window was doing the shimmy and I replaced the motor but not the regulator. Now we cant get the window to meet the top. There is a 1/4 inch gap. I had a convertible top guy look at it and he said the top was ok but said there was an adjustment on the door. We were able to adjust it from side to side but not up and down. At highway speeds I feel Im in a wind tunnel. Any suggestions?

Disclaimer:
I haven't looked at the guts of our doors in a while.
Maybe the bracket that holds the bottom of the window in it's lowest position is too low, you may have to lift the window up, and adjust the arm so that it begins it's movement at a higher position. If that makes any sense.
Idk, just stabbing in the dark here

RE: Convertible top problem
Hey! Im new to this forum but i thought i would let ya know what happens with my 89 gt conv.
First of all my rear quarter window meets up with the top if i roll it up when the top is up, however it puts alot of strain on the motor. Now if i roll the windows up with the top down and then put the top back up it doesnt align with the track for the roof. The only way for me to fix this is to push the window outward while the top is going up and watch to make sure it aligns on the track then i can let go and the top will keep it in track the rest of the way. Hope it was helpfull, dunno if it was tho GL!
