so my AC doesn't work as many of yall's probably are when you got the car. but it's getting warm here and i need my AC. i don't really care bout performance, but i was wondering which part of the AC unit usually goes out first.

also i was looking on eBayat AC's that people took off their car when it worked for cheap. they're full units but i'm not sure how reliable they would be

Dude, Im in the same boat as you. After I took off my smog pump and put U/D pullies on the crank and water pump, my A/C stopped blowing cold air. I really need to get it fixed because South East Florida weather gets pretty brutal and humid.

Anyone have any suggestions??

had the same problem fixed for just 20 bucks i live in deep south tx and it hell on earth over here for most of the year but its kind of an easy fix an A/C shop has a set up to check for leaks not that expensive if you want air and also maybe just some of the A/C lines are clogged and not letting the air through it happens some times in performance engines that was my problem

May be low on freon. The low pressure switch won't allow the compressor to run if the pressure gets too low to prevent damage to the system. Bad news is that these cars came with R-12 originally which is next to impossible to get these days. If that's the problem, your best option is to get it converted to R-134a. You can call around to several shops and see if they do AC. Shop has to be equiped and have a licensed tech. Fines for inappropriate freon releases are HUGE. If it has already been converted to R-134a cost will be much less.
