gears.. go with 4.10's

k&n air filter

remove the air silencer

unless u want good looks most aftermarket CAI are worse than stock performance wise.

heads and cam will really wake that 302 up but will also leave a BIG dent in your wallat

with an auto i would recommend checking out trans go for a shift kit, e cam , intake, tb, all depends on how far you wanna go. personally i would do gears and the shift kit first. not expensive mods, but they are mods you will feel the most

start with a shift kit from transgo, about 120.00. see how that feels for you, then install 4.10's, and a cold air intake( i have mac). I no headers with exhaust install equal length headers. So far thats all I have and I run a descent quarter, 13.95 @ 99.7 mph is my best time.

creeper you need a edge racing converter. your right where i was when i put mine in and i went from high 13.9's to 13.3's with the new converter. but you have to have good tiresto hook after the converter install.

rsw007.......i will look into that converter.......already have good tires, running 275 40 17 in rear and 245 45 17 in front both sets are TOYO "Z rate". on that converter did you use a ten inch or eleven inch. I've read that a ten inch will 'cause rev's quicker than an eleven.
