I have an 89 stang 5.0, cobra upper/lower, 65mm tbody, bbk fenderwell mount cold air, ford E-303 cam, what should i have my timing set at?
because i just got this ads performance chip and the guy said to set the timing to 17 degrees for the chip but i have the cam so im askin u guys what should i set the timing at with my cam ?

also would a 160 thermostat be bad for my car? i have a cobra radiator, and flex fan? and a/c elimn.

I'd say with the cam, keep it back to about 15 or 14 because of the cam, 17 would definately get some pinging. 160 degree thermostat wouldnt necessarily be a detriment, but really not needed.
