Hey, i got a sun or moon roof... dont know how you tell the diference... but anyways my question is how to clean the drains, mine must be clogged or leaking because im getting water in my roof. does anyone know how to check for this?

 

Pull the headliner down and there will be 4 tubes at the corners. First, make sure they are still plugged up to the drains. Then take a close hanger or something you can snake down in the tubes. That will clean them out. Just be sure not to gouge the tubes.

 

moonroof has glass and sunroof has solid lid.

 

What do you mean by solid lid? A sunroof is a chunk of the roof of the car that can be removed? I love my moonroof, first vehicle that I've owned with one and I think it's the coolest thing! lol.

 

a moonroof is one that doesnt slide open..just pops up a little..a sunroof slides back into the roof of the car or is taken out and lets the sun and all its rays in..anyway mines leaks like a mother.....i gotta rip it out soon and get all new weather stripping..anyone here ever replace a sunroof..any tips i should know about?

 

Mine pops up or you can completely remove the glass, so what's it called?

mine leaked when I got it, I just tightened the bolts that hold the hinges to the body.
I had to pull down the headliner and use pliers to tighten them,
I couldnt find out how to tighten it from the top.

 

kinda off the point but does an 87 sunroof fit an 86?
