Default comparison...

I havent had the opportunity to shift either of these transmissions, but I was wondering how well a T56 shifts compared to a TKO500 or 600. Ive been told by many that the TKOs are like going to heaven compared to a T5, they say their like running a knife through hot butter, AND THATS WHAT I WANT! But now looking at prices I would like to just go the T56 route for a couple hundred more. But I dont want to be stepping back in quality just for an extra gear for cruising... Any info appreciated!

its the t5 that feels like butter. the tko is more notchy. i personally love the tko compared to the t5. havent ever driven a t56, but i would assume its like the t5. if i was you, i would just save up for a tko

see now i was told the exact opposite, the tko is like butter compared to a t5. cause if a tko is more notchy than my t5, then screw the tko. Cause the TKOs benefits, besides being all all around better designed tranny than the t5, is better syncros for better shifting. At least thats what ive read. Thanks for the input though

i like the notchyness of the tko. it feel much more sturdy overall, and im not as afraid to push it hard. if you try a tko for a day, i bet you would hate to go back to the t5
