^HAHA thanks for the laugh guys. do you have any vac leaks? that would make it run rich because the computer would have to add more fuel for the air.

I have had a recent tune up within 500 miles along with o2 sensors being replaced and i have hi flow cats on my car. Im lost why i cant pass emissions
How much oil does the car consume? I ask because I think oil burning would directly effect the emissions of hydrocarbons in particular.
oh man.. my old motor burnt oil like a *****... passed etest like a champ though when I say champ.. I mean 22ppm on the idle test.

Hmm. So oil burning doesn't affect HCs. Thanks for the info.

go to autozone etc and get a bottle of G2P (Guaranteed to Pass emissions)....dump a bottle in a full tank, drive until the tank is about a 1/4 full, go take you test and you will pass. used this stuff on my gf's old 95 5.0 w/ no cats (just shields to pass visual) and passed NJ emissions which is tough. it failed miserably the first time so the stuff works.

Come to arkansas, we have no emission laws or inspection! You just get insurance and registration and your good to go. The only laws they seem to care about is you having mufflers! I ran my car without nothing just the factory cat pipe for a good year or so before the Popo stopped me and ticketed me for no muffler!, Eventhough my car had the cats still on it and was quieter than a majority of the redneck glass pack vehicles running around. Sounds like you found your problem with the vacume line. That would prolly make it run rich because the fuel pressure would never fluctuate with engine speed.
