Also got my cobra grill in today, and my 3" cobra R hood should be in late next week. I cut the hole out for the grill, but im going to wait for my hood before i mount it so i can line everything up as perfect as i can get it. I'll get some more pics when i get the hood slapped on her! I feel like a little kid again at christmas time , and with all the interior parts i got from ebay (like one part from each person) fed ex and ups were my santa's.

Runs like a raped ape with the 750 on top!! I thought i'd have flooding issues with the stock heads and block, but the EDL with the electric choke (economy tuned) hits it hard, with no problems!! I had a few issues with the EFI on it, i think the intake was leaking along with the TB. It ran descent, but nothing like it does now. Must be all the red paint i used [&:].

For 150k miles on her she still gets it, and doesn't smoke. Im gonna build a little 306 short block with most likely some windsor JR. heads ( tight budget), and probably a tfs stage 1 cam, so she should be a bit stronger. tranny's still kickin with no problems (knock on wood), but when i slap some more power on it, i'll probably end up getting a tko.

Gonna try to spatter some paint on her this summer some time after i get my hood, and find me a nice rear bumper (check pic below) since someone riced mine up, but she's coming along nicely!

I bought the car from a mexican who riced it to hell and back. When i got it it had the chrome fender lips and some off brand 10" wheels that stuck out of the fenders front and back by about 2" and it had a white top with all white leather interior (kinda ragged job they did). I painted the inside of the seats (the part with the ribs) black with the dye stuff (held up for 2 years so far and still looks descent) and the pipes were like the pic above (and a hole in the bumper for the nipple for the air shocks it had on the back) i've been de-ricing for a while now, and almost got her back to muscle car status.

Oh yeah, the white top on it looked nasty, so i used the same dye i used on my seats on the top, and it came out pretty nice!

Thank you for changing the car back to its roots and nice job on the carb swap. So do you feel a good gain in hp? Also you said it has economy tune, I know nothing about carbs, so how do you change it?

Project looks great. Who made that distributer your using? Does it have a mechanical advance to go along with that vacuum advance?

Thanx! it had to be done!! i saw alot of promise in the car when i got it though, and im pretty happy with my decisions ive made so far. As far as the carb tuning, you have to change the jets and rods to get different numbers, but for my application it was tuned great right out of the box!! which is why i like edelbrock carbs. Plus you don't have to tinker with them too much throught driving it. Holleys are a better carb imo, but in my experience you have to tinker with too much to enjoy driving (never bought a new one though). But you could get the manual choke edelbrock which has a more agressive tune out of the box, and buy a cable, or the electric choke kit and slap on it.
