? About 94-95 5.0 headers
I'm looking to replace the stk headers on my 95gt and was wondering whats the difference from say 87-93?I know my pass header has a fitting on it but is that the only difference or are they shaped different? And whats that fitting for?
as far as i know its the shaping of the headers. the route they take, and where the EGR comes off them
im a lil apprehencive to put headers on my car. i just installed a set of flowmaster mufflers and i felt a definite difference in power.... a loss
the headers will allow better flow of air.. but on a stock motor im thinking its gonna make me lose power
i have always said that i hate them and im going to prove it. im gonna have my car dyno'd before i put my headers on, and after i put them on. and im going to be doing it with a variety of mufflers to see whats the big difference. .... i miss my stock mufflers.

I am in the process of installing headers on my 95 gt and hope to complet the job tomorrow. I bought Mac headers and so far everything fits up nicely. The connector you are refering to is connected to the egr valve, which is sampling exhaust off of the passenger side header. I am hoping for a little horsepower gain and not a loss. From looking at the stock headers I have to believe the Macs will have to allow less restrictions. Having a little trouble removing the passenger side from the top because of the oil dipstick guide but will solve that in the morning. May remove the H pipe and take it out from the bottom. I have read that it can be done either way but don't really want to remove the dipstick guide. One way or another it will be done tomorrow.
Did you order them for the 94-95 stang or are they for the fox stangs? What are you doing about the connector for the egr?
ORIGINAL: Fox

I bought them from Performance Products here in Knoxville yesterday for 179.00. Yes, they are made just for the 94-95 model 5.0. If you need the part number I can give it to you. The stock egr tube unscrews from the stock header and screws back on the Mac headers. They repositioned the connector on a different tube, but really is a better location for better access to spark plugs. The factory egr tube has a section in it that is ribbed if you know what I mean, and this lets you do any minor bending if needed to reconnect to new setup. I did not have to bend anything, just had to rotate it about 180* and it mated right up.
