Default Timing?!?!

Holy **** man....so remember when I said there was some sort of tick, tick, tick from my engine? It might be from my timing because I just looked at my timing tonight and it's set at 25-28*. Could this in fact make me lose power and make something make an awful ticking noise?

the reason i ask is because i dont think the computer would advance it that far like that. was thinking some dumbass b4 you got it maybe did it not knowing what he was doing but you say it hasnt been that way always... did you take it in to any mechanics or have anyone work on it besides you that might coincide with when it started? That is EXTREMELY high. Hope it hasnt done any damage to your engine bro

the ticking is not from timing, like i said pull the spot out and check it. the ticking could be you dont have a spark plug wire on right and the cylinder is loading up or you have an exhaust leak. it could be a lifter or rocker as well.

I concur.....

From what I've seen; the timing with spout in at idle usually fluctuates around 20BTDC........
