Default stock lower end

how many of you guys are running stock rotating assemblies with your h/c/i swaps? have any of you had any problems with your stock internals while running bigger intakes, cams, and injectors?

Intake, t/b, injectors, headers, etc!!! Anything on the outside of the motor. Nothing internal has been touched.

Pro, I'm diggin yours. it looks way cleaner without the wing. I like it.

all i've done to mine is stick an intake and tb on it. I want to upgrade injectors and my maf sensor but i dunno if doing all this would be worth the trouble since my car is burning oil. I need to replace the rings, but i'd rather just drop a new motor in it. Especially since i have to pull it to replace the rings anyways. Im just wondering how long it will last if i keep adding a quart of Lucas oil additive in it with every oil change. probably not very long the way I drive.

Honestly, if the motor is really tired, I'd wait and just do a new set up instead of throwing money at that one. Now granted, you could reuse the parts you put on, but by then you may decide to go in another direction w/ it.

thats what im kinda thinking. I'm pretty sure I want to go a turbo route, but like you said, that could change. Last month i wanted a supercharged 331 stroker. i dont really know. I'd like to just build an from scratch but I dont have the time or the space. But in the mean time Im going to continue to drive my oil burning stock lower end 5.0 ..until it blows up.

as for the parts i'm pretty sure the intake and t/b will be reused. I found another gt a while back that supposedly has some twisted wedge heads and a t-56 behind it, im just too lazy to call the guy about it. actually i'm kinda scared cause i'm sure he'll shoot down my offer of 2500. i have that in cash though so maybe he'll just take it. i dunno. i think i need to win the lottery.
