Default Anyone have electric exhaust cutouts?

Was thinking about maybe putting some electric cutouts on my 5.0. Anyone else done this? Howmuch did this run you?

Ya, on summit the electrics ae like $350 a pair, and the manual ones are like 50$ a pair.

i had those on an f-250 i used to have. got them here http://buickgn.com/electricexhaustcutout.htm but that was before summit sold them. worked great. my truck had 44" tires on it so with the cut outs you didnt just see my truck barreling down on you, you heard it too

I've heard that the electric ones have a tendency to get stuck shut, with rust or w/e. Dont know for sure though. The guy i talked to recomended the manual ones, but then you would have to crawl under the car to open and close em. [:@]

a guy i knew bought an exhaust for his STi that had an electronic one built into it, and it did leak a tiny bit...

I have a manual one on my SS, I almost never use it though because the car sounds better threw the mufflers, as do all cars unless they are full out race motors. Stockish engines with open exhaust=[:'(]. BTW the manual one only takes me about 30 seconds to open and gives me maybe a tenth at the track (the only place I ever use it)
