how much did that tach cost???

 

It seems like everytime I drive my car I hit the red. If you get second good, you have to stay with it till you get traction right? Just before you get traction, then grab third and run that one out. I don't know how high I gotten it, but I know I go high enough to have fun!!

 

i got flowmasters so that really changes the sound but at 2k my car sounds mean and at 3.5k it sounds like a lion roaring haha

any higher than that and it mellows out but boy does the 302 scream at the top end in low gears

 

yeah. the wide open throttle sound is pretty bad on 5.0s, no matter what exhaust you run.

 

Ive seen a 308 turn 8000 on the engine dyno. That was the scarest freaking thing ive ever seen.

 

6000 almost every day.
it climbs so fast now, I try to shift at about 5700, but in the time it takes me to look at the tach and react I am already at 6k.
my hp drops after 5750rpm, so I am going to try to shift at 5500,
I have had my friggin carpet stick the gas pedal to the floor before, and couldnt slow down, so I pushed the clutch and probably hit 7500rpm, then the tach stuck at 7k, a ford tech told me to rev it to 3500 and it would bring it back down, and it did.
I thought I did some major damage.

 

Or thought that your engine might be running at 7000rpm even when off... Did you think of that?

my msd is set for 6200. i hit right at that when i shift. accidently bump the limiter sometimes but hey, im trying to get used to it. just had it a few months and it tachs alot quicker than the ole stocker

 

a 302 sounds so kool 6500 and up.
