Both choices are excellent,..For higher mileaged cars. I have been running mobile one in my 4.6 and have 127k,..still running strong. I only change it every 10k,..so yeah I have changed oil 12 times. Very good oils...regular old valvoline is still great oil because its a HD (high detergent) oil. every 5k is fine,..even though they say 3000. Look in your owners manual,..mine says 5-7k between changes, dependant on how you drive.

It is no way a High Detergent oil...if it was..you would have already dropped everything in your motor by now to rebuild it .... the HD stands for Heavy Duty, not high detergent...high detergent oil was recommended back in the 50's & 60's...which is when Quaker State had there big mess up..they had a high detergent & a upgraded non detergent..because some cars still called for HD oils....the High Detergent had the Green Cap while the regular ahd the Yellow cap....people bought the High Detergent oil to go in the new cars where it actually called for regular, because it was a upgrade....but people went with the chep high detergent...then there motors went to crap, thus the big " I wouldn't use Quaker State on a bicycle chain!!".....it was actually the cheap peopl's fault that got people beleiving QS was a peice of crap oil...when in fact..it is one of the top 3 right now...just my 2 cents

I run the valvoline Synpower for like a few years i run the 20 w 50 weight i live in florida heat and i use to run the amsoil for like 6 a quart is a little high but Amsoil is good for long drain length, i run the valavoiline stil for like only 3000 miles cuz im like to have fresh oil in my 5.0 and i run the Bosch 3500# part for Oil filter it runs real well flows real nice i get great oil pressure from that filter better then fram amsoil or motorcraft , i have run the racing motorcraft is good flows nice has a cut out like the bosch for better oil flow, but the bosch is cheaper. I have beeen runningmy stang like this for 11 years and 98000 miles and never had a single engine problem Yet :P Liquide Out
