Default Relay Question Please Help!

I'm having a problem finding an answer to my problem. Looking at the front of the car, on the left fender wall, there are 2 relays, or what I think are relays. When I turn the ignition on, one of them continues to click and it sounds like my fuel pump is running. Then I go to start it, and it sounds like it's running on four cylinders. What is this part? what does it do? the numbers are worn off of mine and I can't seem to find this part. Please Help.
Thank You
