what are better long tube headers or shortie headers. i heard that long tube helps you get off the line faster?

Actually if you dont have enough horsepower (most say 350+) than they are going to hurt you more than help you.... expecially off the line. So my advice is.... if your not running a high horsepower combination go with some BBK Shorties.

Post up your combo or your short term plans for your combo and we can give you a good answer. Or do a search...this has been asked several times.

you are so far from the truth, they tend to help on top end and hurt on bottom.....lt's are well over blown to being the best header.....I'm a firm believer on equal length...but how ever on mild cars the unequal will do just find....lt's heat up automactic like crazy, they drag on lowered cars and alot of other stangs when going over a speed bump, now on a car with a power adder they help in the upper midrange and top-end

If you get gears, they will definitly make up in the lost low end from long tubes and you will pull a lot harder in top end. If you don't plan on doing gears lt's will hurt your performance.
