Default Water Pump broke

How big of a deal is it to change? Also, any one recommend good brands, I'd like to get more of a performance one.

Thanks

They're not complicated to change but can be a pain with the hoses. The two small ones were a pain to get on and get it all in last time I did one. They didn't have much slack on the one I did though, yours might be better.

Yea i run the Napa one for like 30 bucks on my 93 5.0 i have went threw 1 i got from Mustang Specialties that was rebuilt but it didnt last, it started to leak from the check valve in back near Harmonic Balancer, i think it destroyed my balancer cuz i snapped it the seal from the inside was gone i think the radiator fluid from the water pump was leaking on it for a while and made the rubber in the inside weak, so i got a harmonic from napa too and both wear a little job, like a 1/2 day for each, cuz taking off all the parts just to get the the pump, and clean the area for the new gaskets. but it s worth it doin g it yourself more Gratifying as working on your own 5.0 :P Liquide OUt

Get a stock aluminum pump like said and buy that plate that you rivet to the impeller i did that and it makes a world of difference. Its just a plate that you rivet on.Very nice peice and simple to install.

Go to summit and look around i cant remember how much but well worth it.
