If I want to convert my 88 to MAF, will I need a new computer or can it work from my stock 88 computer?

 

You need a computer, a MAF with the right calibration for your injectors and a very minor wire-in kit for the MAF sensor.

 

Alrigth thanks alot, Do you know of the best place to get the right computer. I was looking on ebay, but im kinda worried about getting a used computer from ebay. How much do new ones run, I dont have much money and need to convert to MAf. Thanks again and if any one could tell me the right computer I need to convert a 88 to MAF would be great, thanks again.

 

call your local junkyards since they have warranties. what transmission do you have auto or stick?

 

JEgs and Summit sell the FRPP kit which includes a new computer.

 

^^yep u can get it there, what trans do u have? Just DONT get a cobra computer. i see y u need to go maf nice s/c under the hood

 

Do not buy thoes maf conversiion kits, your spending 4 times the amount you need to , go to a junkyard and pick up a computer there, also try ebay, if you have a 5 speed , the A9L comp works great.

 

i have an a9p and meter if you can't find anything.

 

I'd get a larger than stock MAF calibrated for whatever inj's you're using....you'll be paying 2x when you decide to do it later if you go w/ stock size MAF
