How much should a shop charge to install a clutch in my car. Is this somthing I can tackle myself, I have the tools and garage, but no lift.

its not htat bad,, but personally if you dont have a lift i would bring it to a shop. they usually charge around 200-350. because they have to turn the flywheel if its bad and all.

its an easy fix. buy a chilton manual and go for it. just put her up on stands and drop the front of the tranny, a few bolts and it on..

Definately do it yourself. I pulled out the motor and tranny and exhaust on a gravel driveway with a pair of jackstands and that's it.

^^^ +1

there are only a few bolts holding it in anyway.... 4 drive shaft bolts, 2 trans cross member bolts, 4 trans to bell housing bolts, the 8 engine to bell housing bolts

its really a simple job... a GOOD mechanic can have the job done in under an hour and a half... 2 hours tops
