Where do place the jack to lift up the front of my car? A picture or a verbal pictur would help greatly...

 

Well depending on what you're doing you can either use the control arm or find a nice solid piece of the frame rail. Mine is a vert so the underside is different, I also have some subframes so I usually use those to jack on and to put stands on. As long as you're not just on the floor pan or something like that you'll be fine.
