shift kit question, please help

Ok, im thinking about getting a transgo shift kit for my 91 lx. How many gears does the stock automatic in a 91 5.0 have?

well....if it's an AOD transmission....that would be....4 forward, 1 reverse....1st, 2nd, 3rd, Overdrive....and reverse.
does that help?

*L* really?..it has 4..the transpak is nice...it will make a hugh difference in the car but please make sure you get a trans cooler..
