Default 4 BBL Intake?

I came across a 4 BBL intake (still had a holley carb on it) the other day in the local wrecking yard with the following 1,5,4,2,6,3,7,8 firing order on it. What I was wondering was, if it is a 351 intake would it still fit a 302? Any help would be great!!!!

Thats the H.O firing order i belive.

And yes it will fit a 302-351.

I have an 85 H.O holley intake and 650 dual feed sitting on the shelf in the garage ill look and see i think it has the same firing order.

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you GMK......I'm almost 100% postive an intake will not swap between a 351 and 302. The 302 intakes are skinnier as far as width is concerned.

I think he was pertaining to the fact that the firing order is the same.

Yes an H.O firing order is the same as a 351's.

I must not have been real clear.

So now the question is how to tell the two apart... From what I can find the differences are.... 1. Width = 302 is 9.5" - 351 is 10.5" or 11".... 2. 302 has 12 bolt holes - older 351 have 16 bolt holes.... Is this information correct? Also, is there any other ways to tell them apart? Thanks for the help!!!!!

the firing order you listed is for a standard output 5.0/302, not the 5.0 HO which shares the same order as the 351. (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8) the taller deck height of the 351 will not let you use a 302 intake on it as it will be too narrow to fit properly like somebody already said. what you have is definitely a 302 only intake.

Thanks for the information, so now my question is it worth picking up for about $10 or so from the wrecker?
