Default 4 speed?

Is it possible that a orion 4 speed(top loader) will blot up to the bell housing on my 85 gt.right now I got the t-5,but a PITA to stay consitant and I usualy miss third gear(if I powershift).

the toploader will be great for drag racing it is a close ratio but first gear will be low,so I would have to put more gear out back, also I got a inling shifter for it so I will have no problem missing gear,I dont want to go auto, just like banging through the gears its a great fealing.

well you will never find consistency in a stick, but I do remember an article about using a toploader. I will see if I can dig it up

I think the first couple years fox bodies were out they came with toploaders. If you can get a bell housing off one of them, you shouldn't have a problem running one.
