Temperature problems. Please help!
Hello, Well yesterday I installed my underdrive pulleys. I did not install the alternator pulley to save me the trouble of having charging and idle issues. Well everythings running smoothly, minus a loud air cond. pump for some odd reason. Well today My car was getting up into the halfway range on the temp. Usually its at the third bar....... What do you guys think is going on? The temp outside was a humid 84*. I put on the stock belt again and the belt tensioner tightened it up pretty well. I just think that this is abnormal because the gauge never was this high.... Any help would be appricated. Thanks!
are any of your pulleys locked up?air conditioning pulley is loud, take the belt off and spin it. spin your waterpump too. if one of them doesnt spin they're bad. but it could also just be normal operation due to the temp outside.
yea it was close to 84 today i wasnt really looking at the temp gauge but i did detail my engine and boy it was hot under there.
my gauge is the same way it sits at the 3rd bar from the bottom and never moves

then it falls back down slowly[:@]..everytime i see it i **** my pants
but then after that little ordeal..it settles down
you have to do some routing, but its pretty simple. i have three gauges on my a-pillar.
water temp., oil pressure, and trans. temp.
water and oil are mechanical, trans. is electric.

pick one...
it install easy. just pop the stock one off, and wrestle the new one in place. it gets a little tricky positioning everything, making sure none of the lines are kinked, running light wires, etc. but with time it shouldn't be much of a problem.
oil pressure, and water temp. are the two most important ones.
