i kno gears have been beat to death but I have an AOD and I kno everyones says 4.10, but im on the highway my whole commute and Gas isnt cheap now, how do 3.73s sound considerin gas mileage and performance?

 

if gas is an issue, dont bother with gears

some people argue they dont increase MPG fact is the car will be running at higher RPM's and yes it will reduce MPG

 

i kno that MPG will decrease but everyone i talk 2 tells me that 4.10s is ridiculous on Gas on the freeway. I kno alot of ple with 3.73 and they dont complain. They are all 5-speeds. gas isnt a big issue but if imma go thru half of my small paycheck 2 pay for gas then it aint worth it.

 

well i dont know about u but i get about 20+ mpg on the highway

no mods, factory 3.27's

 

i believe the aod came with 2.73 gears

 

yep 3.08 and 3.27 were optional

 

3.73's will be fine.

 

get the 3.73 and a 3000rpm stall and it will launch like you have much lower gears
